Yuxt - Video Bookmarking

Okay, maybe you've seen this, but I thought it was cool. I came across today via David Airey's blog. I was looking at an example of typography videos that he was sharing. Then my train of thought went to what is there on elearning. Saw Mr. Stephen Downs. Then I tried Tony Karrer (no videos there yet of him). Tried Web 2.0. Then for some reason I went to Star Wars. That got me a great little Lego piece and a Monty Python meshed with Star Wars. And then I stopped as my train of thought was just getting weird.

If you want to see the bookmarking tool in action here is the link to this small collection O created today. It took me literally only 3 or 4 minutes to setup and create. Seems like a great resource tool to collect and share clips of with others. The key here though is the collecting.

I'm 74% addicted to blogging.

I tried a fun little quiz I found through David Airey and his posting The Psychology of Blog Publishing. I thought his entire post was actually very true and very informative. I tend to see a few things that I want to write about each day and he suggests only one a day. So perhaps my addiction is true, maybe I do comment on too many things. Maybe I read too many things that stir up my interest and I want to remember/post.
But true to question 14...of the quiz about how addicted to blogging are you? I had to add this link. Give it a try yourself.

How not to use PowerPoint

5 PowerPoint awakenings happened this week to me.

I recently created a "how to" or "walkthru" using PowerPoint. After finishing I realized, what the heck am I doing, everything I know not to do I just did. So I started again and got it much better, or so the users say.

Brent Schlenker also reminded me of the evil ways of PowerPoint early this week with his post on 20 Years of Death by Powerpoint.

Third, my educators need to learn not to put only bullet points all over their slides (aka learning packages). I reluctantly ask them if they want a refresher tutorial...Yeah Sounds like fun!

Fourth, my cubicle colleague asked me what I thought of her presentation and much to my dismay....we started over. 3:30pm. Friday afternoon. Computer network acting up. Yeah!!!! Sounds like fun.

And finally MSN.ca had on their opening page this weekend videos you need to see....http://www.davidairey.com/how-not-to-use-powerpoint/
